Gratini

Gratianoupolis or Gratianou was a great civil and urban centre in central Rodopi during the 13th and 14th centuries.

Paradimi

A prehistoric settlement dating to the Neolithic Age (around 5000 – 4500 BC) was uncovered at the village of Paradimi in Komotini. The archaeological excavations unearthed house remnants, pottery and numerous figurines.
