Archaeological site of Philippi

It is one of the most important archaeological sites in Eastern Macedonia and generally in Greece with monuments that bear witness to the continuous habitation of the area from the late Classical through the Christian times.

Dikili Tas

The prehistoric settlement at the site of Dikili Tas, to the east of Philippi, shows signs of habitation from the Middle Neolithic Age (5000 – 4500 BC) through the Early Iron Age (1050 – 900 BC).
