Ecclesiastical Museum of the Holy Metropolis of Alexandroupolis, Traianoupolis and Samothrace

The neoclassical building of the Leontarideios School houses the Ecclesiastical Museum of the Metropolis of Alexandroupolis. The museum, installed here in 1982, hosts a rich collection of mainly post-Byzantine art (15th – 19th century AD). In 1998, the Metropolis decided to renovate the Museum according to contemporary museological thinking.
