The Computational Systems & Applications lab objective is to conduct research into urban and industrial computing technologies, integrating a range of components and systems, with the support of computational intelligence techniques, to serve real world applications with increased demand for efficient digital and engineering asset management. It forms part of the Intelligent Systems and Multimedia Research Stream at ILSP/ATHENA.

Euromaintenance 2015, Antwerp Expo, 1-2 April 2015.
INCOM 2015, the 2015 IFAC Symposium on Information Control in Manufacturing will be the 15th event in the rich tradition of triennial IFAC events in manufacturing sciences and information technologies. The general theme of INCOM 2015 is Advanced Information and Manufacturing Systems for a Sustainable Economy and takes place in Ottawa, Canada. May 11-13, 2015. The IFAC WG AMEST (Advanced Maintenance Engineering, Services and Technology) organises a special session on Advanced Maintenance Engineering for Sustainable Manufacturing in a Big Data Environment.

The centennial issue of ERCIM News features the cloud-based recommendation and itinerary planning system myVisitPlanner.
The final industrial demo day of the WelCOM project tools took place at Kleemann Lifts manufacturing plant on 8/12 in the industrial area of Kilkis. The demos included the WelCOM wireless sensor network-based monitoring installation, the different WelCOM Intelligent Maintenance Advisor tools and the WelCOM training and mobile support solutions.
The innovative cloud-based recommendation and itinerary planning system myVisitPlanner was presented at HTHIC 2014 in Istanbul on 8/11/2014.
The last WelCOM project meeting took place on 6/11/2014 at Prisma Electronics premises in the industrial area of Alexadnroupolis.
The Hellenic Maintenance Society (HMS) will be hosting the bi-annual industriam maintenance event and exhibition, Euromaintenance, in 2016.
The WelCOM project participated with an exhibition stand at the Industrial Technologies 2014 event.
