Church of St Catherine, Didymoteicho

The small church of St Catherine is preserved near the site of the Byzantine palace of Didymoteicho. The mid- 14th century AD building is related to the Constantinopolitan architecture and the construction techniques of the school of Nice.

Church of Aghios Athanasios, Didymoteicho

Part of a Byzantine funerary chapel lies adjacent to the north side of the Metropolitan Church of Aghios Athanasios. The chapel formed part of the imperial Monastery with Byzantine and post-Byzantine wall paintings, engravings and rock-cut spaces.
