Traianoupolis

Traianoupolis was founded by the Roman emperor Trajan (AD 98-117) on the easternmost part of the Via Egnatia, at the site of an earlier settlement. In the same area there is a large, vaulted-roofed building known as “Hana”. The remains of the city wall and a grave tumulus were also uncovered here.
