Funerary basilica at Polystylon


The monument is located outside the settlement walls. It is a three-aisled basilica of the early Christian period that has undergone four construction phases. Ét is surrounded by a cemetery where several grave goods have been found in the tombs.

Episcopal church at Polystylon


It is a three-aisled basilica with a transverse aisle and a narthex. It is a very important church since it served as the seat (cathedra) of the bishop of Polystylon.

Single-aisled domed church at Polystylon


The church dates from the 12th-13th centuries and it was probably destroyed around the 15th century. It is a compact-type, cross-in-style, inscribed church with a dome that ends to a niche to its east side having three sides on the exterior. The church was surrounded by a cemetery.

Church of Aghia Paraskevi, Abdera


The church is a three-aisled basilica with a semicircular niche and a narthex built in a later period. It was totally rebuild in 1845. It is very possible that the monument was destroyed completely, or, at least suffered severe damages by the earthquakes of the year 1829.
