A marble votive relief of an “equestrian hero” was found at the location of Anachoma near the modern village of Galini dating between the 1st century BC and the 1st century AD. A scene from the hunt of the wild boar is depicted in relief and the words “IAÓÙN” and “HPOYÓ” appear on each side of the central figure. The equestrian hero is depicted holding a spear on his right hand, while on the left part of the same scene, there is a tree with a coiled snake and at the bottom there are an altar, a wild boar and a dog. This relief is a typical representation of the Thracian hero as a hunter. It is now kept in the Komotini Archaeological Museum.
