The custom of Sagia was brought from Kappadokia and is kept until today. The night of the eve of Epiphany, on the 5th of January, the light a big fire in front of the village’s church. Every villager throws a ligthwood in the fire and then people gother around it, dance and sing Kappadokian songs accompanied by the gaida (aerophone) and def (membranophone). Depending on which direction the wind takes the flames to, villagers make predictions on the future of their crops.
