The Pomak hutch has a cyclic ellipsoid shape or it is oblong and always has a wide front. The underneath part is made of xerolithia (stone), it is 1.5-2.0 meters high and it often has small windows. The meridian part is not built and it ends with wooden jambs and boards. This element is connected with the frontal chagiati of the traditional Thracian residence and makes it look more like a house than a tent, just like the conic and without a jamb hutch of Sarakatsani.
