Location: The building is located in the neighbourhood of Asa, in Xanthi, in the intersection of Stratou Avenue and Christou Kopsida Str, at the eastern side of the city.
The Monument: The tekke is surrounded by a small courtyard and is currently hidden from view by the modern multi-storey buildings. It is a quadrilateral stone-built edifice with tiled roof; the octagonal dome formed in the interior is decorated with geometric patterns and a simple wooden cornice is adjusted at its base.
In the centre of the building lies the grave of Hasib Baba; the wooden coffin is covered with green fabrics with a big komboloi on it. A small wooden pulpit is placed on the wall opposite to the entrance bearing inscriptions that read Allah, Ya Muhammed, Ya Ali, Ya Hasan, Ya Huseyin, all symbolising the five Bektashi saints. Some Bektashi symbols like the three axes, a small bone stick, a horn and a bone cane hang on the wall over the pulpit.
In the courtyard, there are four marble graves: The grave of Ibrahim Baba, founder of the tekke who died in 1893. There is an interesting funerary stele bearing a relief decoration of a twelve-folded mitre (kulah) on its upper part, symbolizing the twelve imams, a carved well-formed mantle as well as a twelve-edged enkolpion (teslı taşı). Next to it, there is another grave of Hasim Bei, notable of Xanthi and owner of the tekke (1340/1921). Two more graves are found behind the right wall belonging to the babas of the tekke, Haji Salim Baba from Kadirli and Arif Baba, who died in 1320/1902. The four-folded mitre (ethemı taç), distinctive feature of both the married Bektashis and of the women of the order, is engraved on these tombs.
