Location: The tekke is built in the intersection of Clemenceau and Thermopylon Str.
The Monument: It is a simple, quadrilateral and low building with recent additions now housing the Mufti Authority of Xanthi.
In the courtyard, there are three marble funerary steles that come from the cemetery’s graves of the tekke once situated on the northeastern side of the plot. The inscription records the names of Hatji Ali Omer Siaban Efenti, Dervish Seih El Hats Nigmet Efenti (1155/1734), an official of the Mevlevi order, as well as the name of Ata Efenti (1802). A small circle fountain, typical of the bektashi cemeteries, is situated in the courtyard.
According to these inscriptions, it seems that the sunni tekke of the order of the Mevlevis must have been founded before the 18th century, for it had already been functioning by the year 1155/1734.
