Schooling in the city of Alexandroupolis

The first Greek school was founded in Dedeagats (Alexandroupolis) in 1866. In 1887 in the same city there are reported 1 ‘’Urban’’ school with 2 schoolteachers and 75 scholars, 1 kindergarten and 1 girls’ school with 30 girls.
